About a Merbabe

I got Open Water SCUBA certified in 2008 in the Channel Islands of Southern California.  This was right before studying abroad in Barbados, and falling in love with Tropical Diving. I’ve gone SCUBA diving atleast once a week since then, either in the Aquarium where I currently volunteer, the Caribbean, or Southern California’s frigid waters.  Occasionally, I’m lucky enough to go somewhere really foreign, like Bali or the Perhentian Islands.

I became a PADI Divemaster in Utila, Honduras and then 18 months later, became a PADI OWSInstructor in Xcalak, Mexico (with my great friends at XTC Dive Center!). Life keeps on moving forward, and there’s always something new to learn…

Follow my underwater adventures here, and share my excitement on all things SCUBA and ocean related.

Merbabes occasionally venture onto land. Gracias a Mario Chow Photography
