This year I am thankful for many things.
I am thankful for a big and loving family, that is growing every year. I can’t wait to meet my new niece Addy, and cuddle her and love her as much as I love my darling dearest big boy handsome nephew that is the most handsomest and darling and cute and big and handsome nephew ever. Also handsome and cute. mostly.
I am thankful for having my big girl rough and tumble Tiburon cat, with her sleek black fur and don’t give a shit cat attitude.
I am thankful for the cool stuff I have seen underwater this year: angel sharks, leopard sharks, red snapper, morays, tuna, sweet lips, garibaldis, sea lions, stingrays, nurse sharks, ship wrecks, diving birds, whale sharks, and all my friends smiling through their regulators, and the bottoms of boats with my favorite crews on board.
I am thankful that my birthday is coming up, and that I get to share it with the best sister ever (who actually ties for that title for my other sister). I hope our niece can join us on the same date, though she’s keeping us in suspense.
I am thankful to the best friends a babe could ask for, who remember important dates, ask probing questions, are thoughtful, considerate, loving, hopeful, optimistic, realistic, generous. Who notice every hair cut, send texts with helpful reminders, and are always there for a glass of wine, a sip of rum, or a Mcdonalds cheeseburger if that’s what’s needed.
I’m thankful for my personal health, and the lessons I have learned about taking care of myself and others. I’m thankful for the health of my family. I’m thankful for the health of my friends. I’m thankful for the health of my friends’ parents. I’m thankful for my able body, and strive to use it’s wonderful amazing awesome features every day.
and I’m thankful that my family is all in the same country and state this year, so that we can be thankful together.
Happy Turkey Day, my dear readers, I am thankful to you and for you as well: for reading my blog, for posting comments, and for being so supportive of me when I decided to challenge myself in writing this blog.
