Merry Christmas, and happy all Holidays to readers and Merfolks.

This is the Mandarinfish.  This fish is the equivalent of a Holiday light decorated fish, with his beautiful coloring.  He has large pelvic fins that allow him to walk along the ground when he wishes too, although you can see here that he can also swim. They are members of the dragonet family.

They like warm waters in the Pacific, and being very bright and fancy.  In that respect, I have a lot in common with this fish. They mostly eat copepods, worms, and fish eggs.  In that respect, we differ greatly.
